Over the past two decades, Mauritius has become widely recognised by both fund managers and investors as a leading jurisdiction for setting up and administering global investment funds. The Financial Services Commission (FSC) has recorded around 1,015 funds (including both open-ended and closed-ended funds at the end of December 2019) according to the statistics published in 2020. As per the monthly global business data sheet issued by the FSC, there were around 1,010 live global funds as of June 2021.
